Bell's Brae's Got Talent - 19 March 2010

On Friday 19 March 2010 several pupils took to the stage in the first 'Bell's Brae's Got Talent Contest'. The audience of pupils and staff were extremely impressed with all of the acts, demonstrating the wealth of talent in Bell's Brae Primary School. A variety of acts took to the stage- singing, dancing, gymnastics and instrumental solos. Four advisors provided feedback to each act with all pupils contributing to the final vote. Everyone proved to be a WINNER but on the day Brandon received the most votes and walked away with the trophy.

The 26 January 2010 was Up Helly Aa day in Lerwick. Pupils and staff at Bell's Brae were fortunate enough to receive a visit from both the junior and senior Jarl Squads in the afternoon. Members of the Pupil Council received a shield from the Jarls to add to our extensive collection. Prior to their arrival the pupils in the school were busy finding out about viking life in Shetland as well as designing and making their own shield, helmets and axes. An impressive galley by pupils in P5s is now on show within the school.
